Is your child ready to stay home alone? We will help them prepare to handle emergency situations, stay safe in and around the house, and respond with confidence when it matters.
The Home Alone Course is designed for children ages 9-12+ who are preparing to stay home alone for the first time.
Through interactive training, your child will learn how to handle emergencies, make a 911 call, stay safe around the house, and perform basic first aid.
Looking for the Babysitting Course instead? If your child is looking to babysit or care for younger siblings, the Babysitting Course covers childcare skills, first aid, and an introduction to CPR for youth. Available in-person and online.

The Home Alone Course is open to all children and requires no prior training. The course runs at our Barrie & Bracebridge training centres.
Parents are not required to stay.
The program is also a great starting point before taking the Babysitting Course.
For the health and safety of all participants, please avoid sending children with snacks that contain peanuts or tree nuts.

The Home Alone Course

No. Parents are not required to stay. Drop-off and pick-up instructions are provided upon registration.
Indoor shoes or slippers and comfortable clothing. Please avoid snacks containing peanuts or tree nuts and advise of any food allergies upon registration.

The Home Alone Course focuses on helping children ages 9-12+ stay safe at home independently. The Babysitting Course covers childcare skills, first aid, CPR introduction, and job preparation for youth looking to babysit or look after younger siblings.
